Mike Mooneyham
Mike Mooneyham, a writer and editor with The Post and Courier since 1979, is one of the nation's foremost authorities on professional wrestling and his weekly wrestling column has been in continuous publication longer than any other in the country. A former radio wrestling talk show host, Mooneyham is a frequent guest on sports talk shows throughout the U.S. He began writing for national wrestling magazines and other sports publications during the 1960s and has interviewed many of the industry's most influential figures. He co-authored The New York Times best-seller "Sex, Lies and Headlocks."

Former professional wrestler S.D. “Special Delivery” Jones passed away Sunday on his native island of Antigua, West Indies, from complications related to a stroke he suffered two days earlier. He was 64. Jones, whose real name was Conrad Efraim, retired several years ago and moved from the Bronx to Antigua with his wife. Read story.

Antonio Thomas remembers getting that fateful call like it was yesterday.
World Wrestling Entertainment talent director Johnny Ace was on the other line, and the news wasn’t good.

The world lost a very special person this past week with the passing of the Rev. Nicholas C. Trivelas. If you've lived in Charleston for any length of time, chances are you've heard of this humble servant who led the Greek community, like a shepherd leads his flock, for the past 60 years. It’s no secret that “Nature Boy” Ric Flair likes women. For more than 35 years as America’s greatest pro wrestler, Flair billed himself as a “limousine ridin’, jet flyin’, kiss stealin’, wheelin’, dealin’ son of a gun,” who always had a babe on each arm.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who earlier this year thanked Vince McMahon for saving his life, publicly self-destructed last weekend at an independent wrestling show in Ohio.
Disturbing footage surfaced last week on a number of online sites showing a rambling, incoherent Roberts implode in front of an audience that had come out, in large part, to see a former WWE legend. Read story.

Legendary pro wrestler Walter "Killer" Kowalski passed away late Friday night at a Massachesetts hospital at the age of 81.
Kowalski had spent several months at a nursing home earlier this year due to knee problems. Read story.
