Man arrested after high-speed chase
Saturday, October 11, 2008
A car chase through North Charleston at speeds above 95 mph led to a crash and an arrest late Thursday, police said. The pursuit began in the Waylyn subdivision off Dorchester Road, where a Honda Accord sped up when it passed a marked patrol car, then ran a stop sign, a police report says. The car went down side streets, going through a ditch at one point; and the driver did not stop for officers' blue lights and siren. At the corner of Ranger and Martha drives, the car stopped, police said. The Honda went into reverse and rammed the patrol car when the officer got out to pursue the suspect. The chase continued several miles up Dorchester Road, where speeds approached triple digits, police said. The Honda turned right onto Ashley Phosphate Road, eventually losing control and crashing into two parked buses in the parking lot of La Petite Academy child-care center near the Pepperridge neighborhood. A man ran from the car and officers arrested him after a brief struggle. The Highway Patrol was investigating the collisions. Rasheen Graddick, 29, of North Charleston was charged with assault with intent to kill and failure to stop for blue lights. Records showed that he remained at the Charleston County Detention Center Friday on $20,000 bail.

I have no sympathy for anyone that take police officers on a high speed chase. He obviously has no regards for the lives of other motorist.
Officers, may I suggest you use your nightstick.

$20,000 bail with a charge of assault with the intent to kill? That's just plain stupid.
I'm glad he was caught. Remove him from society forever.
