COLUMBIA — The Hilton Head Seahawks upset No. 1 Riverside, 3-1, on Friday night to win the girls' Class AAA state soccer championship at Stone Stadium. Hilton Head, which dropped a 2-0 decision to Eastside in last year's title game, got revenge and its 18th victory in 22 matches this season. Riverside finished with a 22-5 record. The Seahawks took a 2-0 lead in the first half on goals by Emily Napoli and Stephanie Sosa. Hannah Allison scored Riverside's only goal. The Warriors had a second-half goal wiped out because of an interference penalty. Abby Hennessey scored a goal for Hilton Head in the second half.
