If you are a friend, family caregiver or health care professional providing assistance to individuals with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia, you might be interested in attending an educational conference from 9:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. May 21 at Elks Lodge 242, 1113 Sam Rittenberg Blvd.

Author Jolene Brackey, the keynote speaker, will share her expertise and "Creating Moments of Joy" approach to Alzheimer's care. Additional speakers will address caregiver support, "Fight the Disease, Not Each Other," and driving and dementia.

Registration fees are $55 for professionals seeking continuing- education units, $20 for other professionals, $5 for family caregivers and free for Elks members.
