23 Berkeley students honored for turning their lives around

Mark Cabrera went from a life of drugs and crime to a top student at Goose Creek High School.
At 20 years old and after six years in high school, he was one of 23 students honored Thursday by Berkeley County School District with a Turnaround Achievement Award.
Each student did something to change his or her destructive behavior and become better students.
