Today --Southern Mustang and Ford Club, in conjunction with Hooters of North Charleston, will host a car show in the 2008 Summer Sizzler Series. The show will be at Hooters restaurant near Northwoods Mall in North Charleston. Registration, which begins at 11 a.m., is $10 a vehicle. Trophies will be handed out at 3 p.m. The show is open to all makes, models and years and include rods, imports, cycles and trucks. There will be specialty trophies for Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine, and the Hooters Girls Choice and Hooter's Choice. The SMAF/Hooters 2008 Summer Show Series will be the third Saturday of each month through September. For more information, e-mail President@smafclub.com. Wednesday --Charleston-Lowcountry Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America will host its monthly car show 6-8:30 p.m. at Joe Bessingers Bar B Que on College Park Road in Summerville. Registration is $5. Classes include years 1900-42, 1943-59, 1960-72 and 1973-2008; Corvettes; imports; lowriders/tuners; motorcycles; Mustangs; street rods; and trucks. July 26 --A cruise-in will be held 5-7 p.m. at Andolini's Pizza on Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant. The free event is open to everyone. Aug. 6 --Bessinger's B-B-Q, 1602 Savannah Highway, will hold a Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show 6-9 p.m. Registration is $5. There will be three trophies per class. Divisions include cars for years 1900-42, 1943-59, 1960-71 and 1972-08; street rods, trucks and motorcycles. Music by the Cruise-O-Matics. Sept. 13-14 --Berkeley County Museum's seventh annual Antique Tractor & Engine Show will take place at Old Santee Canal Park in Moncks Corner. Providing coordination of the event are the Berkeley Classic Antique Tractor & Engine Club and several other antique tractor organizations throughout the state. The show will include an auction of tractors and farm equipment Saturday at 9 a.m. There will be displays of new tractors, toy tractors and collectibles. Rural art and Crafts of the Lowcountry exhibits will be at the Berkeley museum. Funds support the museum's operation, educational outreach and development of new exhibits and displays. Gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults; children 10 years old and under get in free. Exhibitors are also admitted free.
