More nighttime lane closures and traffic shifts will come during the second week of widening Interstate 26 to eight lanes between Ashley Phosphate Road and the Mark Clark Expressway. Additionally, motorists on Remount Road can expect some daytime lane closures and stops near the freeway as heavy construction equipment moves around to lay piping and prepare the area for pilings for the new Remount Road overpass. The $66 million project is expected to take more than three years to complete. Read more in tomorrow's editions of The Post and Courier.
