A man was taken to Medical University Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds after a shooting this afternoon in West Ashley. Charleston police are investigating a the that occurred around 2 p.m. in front of Apt. 16 in Building A at the Ashley Grove apartments, 1735 Ashley Hall Road. A dark blue Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in front of the apartment appeared to have gunshot damage to two driver's side windows. Crime scene technicians are using a metal detector to search for shell casings in a grassy area, and there are approximately 17 evidence markers leading from the apartment out to the Jeep. No information was available about the shooting victim's condition or about possible suspects. Check back with Charleston.net later for more information. |

Goodness...West Ashley is getting to be as bad as North Charleston.
