Why not just have a huge bonfire and save the time and effort?

I'm a little underwhelmed by this 'event'. I will say this is a first and a revelation to me, though.

Nixon would have loved this event.

Free?

Wow, I'll jump on this offer right away....
Oh, only 4 bags/person....
And another thing, my car is low on gas at the moment...

Is someone being paid to think up a non-event such as this?

Is the supervisory position of this shredding event a paid position?

I'm just mildly curious.

It's a great idea, BUT poor timing. Why would they tell you about this event the day of and why would they have it on a Friday during work hours. It would make more sense to have it on a Saturday. Just a thought for the planners for the next free paper shredding event.

What they didn't tell you is they give the shredded paper back and you have to take it with you.

Well, of course jeff61, who wouldn't want their shredded papers to take back home?

This will be a great deal if it's run by Hillary Clinton. She has plenty of experience shredding records!

FREE, FREE, FREE to whom? Sure it is FREE except for the TAXPAYERS. Reminds me of the muchkin Mayor, Little Joe going on the radio and encouraging all the distressed mortgage holders to get some FREE, yes FREE Gubmint Cheese and they can call FREE, yes Toll FREE Gubmint Giveaway Agency to help them get their FREE, yes FREE TAXPAYER funded assistance.
Whenever I hear any Politician saying FREE, this is what they really mean, I'm appropiating the Taxpayer's money so I can buy votes for FREE!
