Dubuc called up to Hershey

OK, so Michael Dubuc is the latest casualty for the South Carolina Stingrays.
That’s the fifth Stingray to get called up in the last two weeks and joins Josh Godfrey, Sasha Pokulok, Steve Pinizzotto and Maxime Lacroix up in Hershey.
The Rays signed Ben Boudreau, the son of Washington coach Bruce Boudreau.
Also, as I’ve warned, I’m going multi-media and should have an audio clip I did with Rays head coach Jared Bednar up on the website tomorrow.

The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/General Manager Jared Bednar announced today forward Michael Dubuc has been recalled to the Hershey Bears of the AHL. In other news, the team has signed center Ben Boudreau.
Dubuc, 20, is currently in his first professional season after spending the last four years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), where he collected 112 goals and 94 assists for 206 points in 231 games. This season, the 6-foot-2, 177-pound left winger leads the Stingrays with 18 points (9g, 9a) and 58 shots. This marks the Granby, PQ native’s first call-up to the AHL.
Boudreau, son of current Washington Capitals Head Coach and former Mississippi Sea Wolves Head Coach Bruce Boudreau, is in his first year of professional hockey. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound center has played 13 games with the Flint Generals of the International Hockey League scoring two points (1g, 1a) and adding six penalty minutes.
The Rays are back in action in Mississippi over Thanksgiving weekend as the team plays Thursday Nov. 27, Friday Nov. 28, and Saturday

Defenseman Sean Collins has missed the last few games, but will be back in the lineup tonight.
At least all the Stingrays players in Hershey will be playing and not sitting in the stands tonight. Washington and Hershey will not have any healthy scratches tonight. Please Please Please Please Please No More Injuries Tonight. Hopefully some of those Day-To-Day guys will be ready to play by this weekend.

If anyone wants to know Davis Parley was release from his team overseas.
NOTTINGHAM Panthers have moved quickly to sign goaltender Michel Robinson.
The French-Canadian stopper ended a two-week notice period at Edinburgh Capitals last night, but he was contacted by the club before he flew home to Canada.
That means No.1 goalie Davis Parley has been released immediately and the 26-year-old Robinson will make his debut against Newcastle at the NIC on Saturday.
Robinson starred for Italian side Ritten-Renon two seasons ago when Panthers legend Paul Adey coached them to the fourth spot in the league and to the semi-finals of the play-offs before being injured.
He was one of the top two goalies in the league in save percentage and has also been All Star goalie in the United Hockey League in North America.
Robinson failed to halt Edinburgh's perennial slump at the wrong end of the table, his latest performances have been around the 90% save-percentage mark.
He will also be keen to prove a point and hopefully inspire a Panthers charge to the top of the table.
Parley – a fourth-round NHL draft pick of Florida – started the season with a flourish, with Panthers losing just once in their opening 11 games.
But it was clear his team-mates were losing confidence in him and the rot set in, culminating in their exit from the Challenge Cup last weekend at the hands of Basingstoke

I watched the Cap's game on Centre Ice last night and the Caps' color commentator gave Jared Bednar and the Ray's organization a great "ataboy" for the super job they are doing in supporting the Bears and Caps. So nice to hear this national recognition!
